Maple Cream Pie

One of my favorite desserts as a child was my Grandma Perry's Old Fashioned Cream Pie. She made it for every major holiday, and we even preferred hers to the local Amish restaurant's version! When I had to cut gluten and then dairy from my diet, I mourned the loss of being able to eat this pie...until I got curious. I substituted and tried out different ingredients until I created something delicious that I could enjoy and that didn't taste like a sad alternative! This version is fully paleo with a hint of maple. A good friend recently texted me, after trying this version for the second time: "This pie is dangerous 🤣"

Ingredients: maple sugar, coconut cream, almond flour, tapioca flour, palm oil, eggs, coconut flour, vanilla extract*, sea salt

*Pure vanilla extract is made from vanilla beans in alcohol; the alcohol may be derived from corn. Due to this, those with corn allergies should exercise caution and/or avoid this and other products containing vanilla extract.
